"I have asked the colleagues to present the results clearly, but not to interpret them. That would go immediately into the highly political arena of the climate change debate. One has to make clear that cosmic radiation is only one of many parameters." -- Rolf-Dieter Heuer, Director General of CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research). That's a nice sentiment... but since it's unevenly applied, it's worthless. You see, CERN and other "scientific" institutes have been quick to publish--and interpret--laboratory data they believe supports the idea of anthropogenic (man-made) global warming (AGW). So what is it that Dear Dieter is asking for discretion about?
Oh, not much: only breakthrough data to support the supposition the majority of global climate change is driven by solar dynamics, and not what we puny humans do...
CERN is the organization that invented the World Wide Web, that built the multi-billion dollar Large Hadron Collider, and that has now built a pristinely clean stainless steel chamber that precisely recreated the Earth’s atmosphere. So when will Al "AGW deniers are like racists" Gore be producing a movie about THAT 'inconvenient truth?' No worries... I'm not holding my breath.
In this chamber, 63 CERN scientists from 17 European and American institutes have done what global warming doomsayers said could never be done — demonstrate that cosmic rays promote the formation of molecules that in Earth’s atmosphere can grow and seed clouds, the cloudier and thus cooler it will be. Because the sun’s magnetic field controls how many cosmic rays reach Earth’s atmosphere (the stronger the sun’s magnetic field, the more it shields Earth from incoming cosmic rays from space), the sun determines the temperature on Earth.
There is no doubt had this experiment supported the dominant narrative, there would have been worldwide press coverage and editorials. But AGW has a lot in common with Darwinism: its faithful piously claim to "follow the science," but only when it leads to their favored conclusions. You see, if the sun is really the driving force, it doesn't give people like Gore any (hypocritical) 'moral authority' to lecture us about our 'carbon footprint' or to seek heavy-handed regulation of all human economic activity that just coincidentally makes them a lot of money.
At least it's been a lucrative ride for them until now... let's hope the gravy train's coming to an end.
