People everywhere just wanna be free...

Many Europeans may be realizing the supposed economies of scale touted by proponents of the European Union are more than outweighed by the sclerosis inflicted on member economies through overweaning regulation.
“Increasingly, people are saying, we don’t want that flag, we don’t want the anthem, we don’t want this political class. We want the whole thing consigned to the dustbin of history.”
This isn't just a European problem, either. That "other union," on the west side of the Atlantic, has grown a bit overweaning and sclerotic, too...

It is better for liberty to flourish in smaller units, than to amalgamate, consolidate, and regulate until there is no latitude to move without permission.
