None dare call it invasion

It should be abundantly clear that if an American family is abandoning its large homestead 60 miles north of the Mexican border because they're no longer safe living there, the Federal Government is completely failing in its primary responsibility to protect the several States from invasion.

The Burns family in Brooks County, Texas, are packing up and leaving their 38,000 acre ranch because the area has become a war zone, thanks to the Mexican drug cartels and illegal aliens crossing on or near their property on a daily basis.
The Burns’ family home has been broken into, their land littered with garbage and the distinct sounds of gunfire can be heard from their front porch. (Video at link)

It's all well and good that the Republicans want to read the Constitution into the Congressional record at the start of the next session. But how about actually following its mandates (...and restrictions...)? Whatever your opinion on broad interpretation to permit federalization of healthcare, it should be evident the government doesn't need more on its plate when it can't handle its current obligations.

As my kids like to say these days (to my chagrin): "Epic. Fail."
