Don't try this at school

The Musketeers and Mom and Dad are adjusting to our first year of homeschooling. Like any new adventure, it has its ups and downs, but the ups are much more important. The past couple of days I've been marveling at how some of the instruction around here goes:

Dad teaching the concept of decimals to the oldest Musketeer:
"How many fingers do I have?"
"Ten..."
"So one WHOLE person has 10 fingers?"
"Um, yeah..."
"Let's say dad was careless with the saw and cut off four of them. How many could I point at you then?"
"Six..."
"So there's no whole people left, and I could point six fingers at you. How would you write that?"

(imagine light bulb coming on over Musketeer's head)

"Zero point six?"

I love seeing knowledge acquired... and I doubt seriously such a Texas Chainsaw Massacre approach would ever be employed in public schools. Even though it might succeed in getting the boys' attention.

Meanwhile, the youngest Musketeer, all of four years old, has learned his first few words of Spanish:
"Te amo" (I love you)
"Me gusta tickles" (I like tickles)
"Mas por favor" (More please... referring to tickles, of course. Or mid-air summersaults. Mama NO se gusta those!)

Who'd have guessed learning--and teaching--could be so much fun?

WATCH THIS!
I do not care if You do it for yourself, for Your children, for Your country or out of curiosity and a need to pass time...but PLEASE-give this video, and the man speaking, Your ear and interest because what he speaks of is nothing less than facts that directly affects almost every one in every nation-now and in the generations to come

It is NOT a conspiracy theory
It is NOT allegations
It is a simple summary of certain key events in the past interpreted in the light of knowledge and experience, resulting in one of those rare-and too often buried in(and often by)the media white noise-exposures of what is REALLY at the root of things and how to couteract the logical consequences of its governing mechanisms

If time is money, then the 35 minutes this video will take can save You lots of it

Do it..
..please..

On the note of the video-It struck me that (again using the general and trick "US" to refer to a national and abstract entity and NOT to each individual of it's inhabitants) US is like a guest at a dinner table, insisting on eating on the account of everyone else and yet insisting the other owes it as well as on it being alone at the table...
