Sounds like a plan

Herman Cain's "9-9-9 Plan" has been generating a lot of buzz.  I think, however, that a lot more homework and detail has gone into this one.

Lots of politicians play lip service to the idea that now's the time to make hard choices.  Like him or not, Ron Paul doesn't just talk about it -- he has a cohesive perspective about how to make those choices (the fact that perspective is grounded in the Constitution is a considerable bonus).  Not everyone will agree with every aspect... but this is a good deal more thought out than anything else currently on offer.

If anyone has a better idea -- not just rhetoric, but specific substance -- the floor is open for discussion.
