Quote of the day

From Wired's Danger Room:
“The so-called ‘fifth-generation’ fighters have certainly revolutionized U.S. air power,” Ares’ Bill Sweetman noted, “if not quite in the way anyone had in mind.”

Don't worry, though... there are still "fourth-generation fighters" in service.  Never mind that they're three decades old, falling apart, and generally being worn out in the Wars Without End.

Of course, even if the newer birds were flying well, they'd be destined to have short legs, since the Air Force took a decade to finally award a contract to replace the even older KC-135 air refueling aircraft.
