Whole lotta shaking going on

By no means do I intend to make light of the situation in Japan. In fact, anyone who can view this time lapse and not offer prayers on behalf of the people there... well, I'll say no more.

Japan is one of the most advanced and disciplined societies on the planet, and they've been utterly humbled by the events of this week. It's a sober reminder that despite our pride, humanity is still largely insignificant against the power of creation... to say nothing of the Creator.

Read an interesting discussion earlier today: in the past 14 months, there have been major (magnitude 6 or greater) quakes in Chile, New Zealand and now Japan -- three of the 'four corners' of the "Pacific Ring of Fire." The fourth "corner?" The San Andreas fault.

Patterns that make you go hmmm.....
