This isn't a traditional Christmas song, but it's still one of my favorite recent tunes, and it does bear in mind the point that gets lost in all the holiday hub-bub.
How often do we sing "peace on Earth, goodwill toward men," and forget how that was to be brought about? The cute little baby in the manger was all too quickly condemned to die by a world who refused to accept Him. And only through His Father's power would He be raised to life again, the "firstborn of many brothers." The Christmas gift was not what the Magi brought the child... it was the child.
