Saw a link yesterday to this new book: "The Faith and Values of Sarah Palin." The title is what caught my attention -- not because I'm convinced Sarah is anything more than an agent of co-option, mind you -- but because there was something vaguely familiar about it.
Yup... we've been here before...
So... two books about politicians' 'faith,' by the same author. No, wait... make that three... quite the bi-partisan trifecta, there. (And no, I haven't read any of them)
If all these leaders were truly guided by something more specific than a nebulous 'faith,' and if the voters these propaganda tools are meant to sway were truly serious about faith informing public policy, this nation would be a vastly different place. Instead, it's the old canard: "Paris is worth a Mass."
"They sell us the President the same way they sell us our clothes and our cars; they sell us everything from youth to religion, the same time they sell us our wars..."
