The fact we have public surveillance cameras blooming across the land, but also have police officers arguing it's illegal for citizens to videotape them in the public performance of their duties, is just another sign what time it is.
They are supposed to work for us... and need frequent reminders of that fact. Police seem to have little problem with having film crews watch their work, so I don't see how having private citizens documenting the "C.O.P.S." they encounter is an issue.
Unless they're concerned how they look without stage management...
