Spot on!

The question: when does the Constitution matter? One good analysis here.
The payoff paragraphs:
The Constitution is a funny thing to the Democrats. The people who are trying to destroy the nation are entitled to its most expansive reading of protections.
But as to the taxpayers of the nation, and those members of the minority party whom they represent. Well, they are entitled to nothing as far as Constitutional due process. Nancy Pelosi, meet
Judge Dredd.
Perhaps if Al-Queda opposed health care reform Nancy Pelosi would follow the Constitution?
I'm a bit amazed at what we're watching in D.C. -- senior leaders openly mulling the option of abandoning all pretense of an accountable legislative process, in favor of just "deeming" a long-sought Federal takeover of health care a fait accompli.

Fine. If they want to abbrogate the contract between government and governed, I say we follow this advice posted on Twitter:
Perhaps taxpayers should "deem" their taxes to be considered paid without actually sending a check this year.
