Who NEEDS these people?

We have the Congressman who oversees the US tax code suddenly amending his returns, revealing the other half of his wealth. We have people seriously advocating for yet another Kennedy to be annointed appointed to the Senate seat the family's already held for 57 years.

And during a time of fiscal implosion, we have state legislators playing solitaire and watching baseball on their computers when they're supposed to be debating the budget.

Seriously.

If they've got that much time on their hands, perhaps they should be sent home, without a paycheck or privileges. Some days it's all I can do to keep my minimalist government leanings from morphing into something just shy of anarchism. I mean, really... why should I contribute anything to sustain the farce our nation has become?
