While at the store today I noticed bargain-price copies of Van Halen's 1984 album in the discount bin. And it occurred to me, next year will be the 25th anniversary of that album.
A quarter century. Meanwhile, Def Leppard's Pyromania and Journey's Escape and Frontiers are already older than that.
Does anyone else find this epiphany as unnerving as I do?
And yes, now you know a little more about how I tortured my hearing as a kid. Fortunately, the aural assault crested with some late 80's metal/hard rock, and quickly ebbed. Now I prefer stuff like this:
