The West has sown the seeds of multiculturalism and relativism for two generations. The harvest is becoming apparent:
The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK "seems unavoidable."Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4's World at One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.
Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion...
"An approach to law which simply said - there's one law for everybody - I think that's a bit of a danger."
So... having multiple approaches to law enhances social cohesion?! I'm having difficulty restraining multiple rude remarks in the face of this clear theological and sociological insanity! The Anglican Church, minus some Spirited holdouts, is near the end of a long slide into moral and spiritual irrelevance. Make no mistake: there's no such thing as adopting "parts" of Sharia Law. By definition, Sharia recognizes no other authority. Compromise with it is the same as surrender, only slightly slower.
It's amazing to watch nations like the U.K. and Canada root out Christian influences in their public speech, law and customs only to accommodate alien theological and judicial systems that demonstrably result in the loss of rights and freedoms that have been the hallmark achievements of the Christian West. Truly, the god of this age has darkened the minds of unbelievers to the point they no longer even recognize friend from foe.
The coming harvest will be a bitter one.
