So there WAS color back then...

Some interesting color photographs from the Great Depression and WWII era. I think one reason some people feel disconnected from history is the lack of color in earlier photos, and the lack of photos period past a certain point. Somehow, when the record isn't made up of the data we use every day, we have trouble relating to it. (click cartoon to enlarge)
