Happy Thanksgiving

Readers of this site will find plenty of references to my concerns over the current state of, well, just about everything. As a fallen people, we've done a pretty good job of screwing up the world. And yet, even in the midst of all that, there is so much to be thankful for: family, friends, and yes, the material blessings we take for granted every day. Most of all, I'm thankful for a bigger picture than the headlines portray--a 'peace that passes understanding.' That comes in mighty handy after a long day of reading about current events!
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
