And this is a bad thing?

The news out of Hollywood gets more dire by the day:

It seemed the new TV season had just started, then, suddenly, the stream of new episodes threatened to run dry.

For the most part, you can relax for the rest of the month. Even with TV writers on strike, most of your favorite comedy and drama series have episodes on tap through November, and even beyond. But a few will be in reruns all too soon.

I take morbid pride in noting my family hasn't seen a single episode of any of the shows discussed in the linked article. And... gasp... we still have a life! I hope this little media spat helps people realize there are other things to do in life besides invest hours in social programming via the television. They just take a little more--dare I say it--effort and thought.
