A number of bloggers have been following the "fauxtography" issue over the past week, but this link is the best summary I've seen to date. One thing it doesn't mention is how Reuters has now removed over 900 photos from its database as more and more submissions are called into question.
This debacle, combined with CBS's use of forged documents in a so-called expose on President Bush in 2004, makes you wonder if anybody's even trying anymore to report "just the facts, ma'am." Guess some people are more comfortable trying to bend reality to their point of view than the other way around.
