Like many frequent airport patrons, I get a little tired of the TSA screening routine. Especially since I know for a fact it's more harassing than effective. I've arrived at my travel location more than once to find I accidentally left a pair of clippers in my carry-on shaving kit, or a pack of souvenir matches in my bag. I'm convinced the whole process has more to do with training citizens to be compliant than it does with preventing another attack on our way of life.
Especially since we continue to refuse to secure the border. And no, I'm not talking about Mexico--this time. I'm talking about the amazing number of student visas we continue to issue to countries that harbor significant anti-U.S. sentiment. I understand engagement, and seeking to change perceptions. But it seems to me there's a way to do that on THEIR turf, so any lingering animosity can be spent outside America, rather than within it.
I sure hope these guys turn up in Bozeman, Montana, and not on the evening news. Maybe the search should start in flight schools.
