Don't picket...build a fence!

One thing I like about the Minuteman Project: they don't just criticize Uncle Sam...they step up to fill the void where he is abdicating his responsibilities.

Illegal immigration aside, I've never thought it was a good idea for us to be ratcheting up "The Long War" with overseas offensives while leaving the barn door open here at home. Something tells me we're going to pay a price for that sooner or later.

Mr. Simcox is right: if his volunteers start the project, the fence will go up faster and cheaper than anything Washington could dream of...except for the official harrassment of these patriots that is sure to resume almost immediately. To those in Washington who have a problem with this group, I can only say "lead, follow or get out of the way."
