U.S. gasoline prices will continue to march to record highs this summer before peaking at $4.15 per gallon in August, the Energy Information Administration said on Tuesday.Of course, the credibility of that li'l prediction is undercut by the very next paragraph:
Last month, the EIA projected gasoline prices would peak in June at $3.73 per gallon of regular grade fuel.Next up: balancing the budget, eliminating the ($10 trillion) national debt, and fully funding all $100 quadrillion of entitlement benefits for the Baby Boomers. I'm assuming these bureaucrats are as accountable for their predictions as, say, weathermen...
Consider this Exhibit A why government price controls and interference with economic levers isn't a good idea.
