...Obama keeps seeing the people close to him "change."

Today:

"I'm saddened by today's verdict," Obama said in a statement Wednesday. "This isn't the Tony Rezko I knew, but now he has been convicted by a jury on multiple charges that once again shine a spotlight on the need for reform."

Just the other day:

"...I am deeply disappointed in Father Pfleger's divisive, backward-looking rhetoric, which doesn't reflect the country I see or the desire of people across America to come together in common cause.

Not too long ago:

Obama said he was “particularly angered” by Wright's allegation that the candidate was engaging in political posturing when he denounced the minister's earlier remarks.

“If Reverend Wright considers that political posturing, then he doesn't know me very well,” Obama said. “Based on his comments yesterday, well, I may not know him as well as I thought, either.”

Truth be told, most people probably count an awkward friend or two in their inner circles. But if you're known by the company you keep, it's safe to say we should all hope and pray Obama and his entourage never take up residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
